Reasons to Cowork

 In Community, Coworking

A 2015 study from Harvard Business Review looked at how employees thrive, studying how they ranked their “sense of vitality and learning.” On a 7 point scale, they found that employees that worked in coworking spaces averaged at 6 points–at least one point higher than than those that work in traditional office spaces scored (Harvard Business Review). So why is it that coworkers seem to thrive more? We compiled a few of our reasons below:

1. Flexibility + Autonomy

Coworkers get to pick when and where they want to work. Every coworking space has a different environment, energy, and community, but a common theme is a laid-back, welcoming environment. You not only have the ability to choose the coworking space you want to be in, you can often choose what desk or area you want to occupy. At Hing Hay Coworks, you can choose from open seating with other coworkers or find a more secluded desk to get your work done; depending on the plan you choose, you can have 24/7 access that allows you to choose when and how often you want to work as well.

2. Community + Collaboration

People are here because they want to be! Coworking spaces have different personalities, and people can choose the one that best suits them. We’re here to do what we are passionate about while pursuing a higher purpose, and our community members resonate with that too! At HHC, everybody knows everybody (if they want to). From making chit-chat while grabbing some of our delicious (bottomless) coffee or tea, to grabbing lunch or dessert with a fellow coworker or mingling at one of our many events, we’re a community that cares. As a result, we have curated a community of like-minded, friendly, and ambitious people from all sorts of backgrounds; it’s the perfect opportunity for networking and collaboration.
